Overview
Xtratic War is what we like to call a MMORTS, a Massively Multiplayer Online Real Time Strategy. In Xtratic War you are a member of one of three factions, each faction has a different type of bonus designed to tailor to the specific play style of each individual. The main objective in Xtratic War is to build the largest army and essentially accumulate the most net worth.
Rounds
Rounds are currently 10 days in length, at the end of a round every player's army is reset and medals are awarded to the players with the most net worth, population, wins, money and of course the platoon with the highest net worth. Prizes are also given to the players with the most net worth at the end of the round.
A very common question we receive is why are the rounds so short and why have rounds at all? Well, we like to give new players a chance to win, if there were no rounds it would be impossible to award prizes and new players would have no chance at catching up to the players who have been playing much longer.
We feel 10 days is a very adequate amount of time as it gives new players a long enough period of time to familiarize themselves with the game play as well as gives older players enough time to conquer each other.
Basic Information & Terms
Army Level: Your army level is determined by the amount of experience points you accumulate while playing Xtratic War. The more experience points you accumulate through the round the higher your army level.
Your army level is used to determine a large number of factors inside the game, for instance the maximum number of items you can purchase through the armory, even the amount of money you gain while exploiting the local resources.
Bank Level: Your bank level is upgradeable through the Upgrades page, it is used to determine how much money you can store in your bank at any given time.
Base Level: Upgrading your base level is a very effective way to gain a little extra defense that cannot be destroyed.
Turns: Turns are required for most every action throughout Xtratic War, they are used as a way to help keep the game as fair as possible and manageable. Many actions require more turns than others. Attacking other players is probably the most effective use of your turns. Turns are given to players every 10 minutes.
Offensive Score: Your offensive score is used to determine how much damage your army causes while attacking another army. The higher your offensive score the better your chances of crushing an enemy are. To increase your offensive score you need to purchase vehicles and vehicle operators or weapons and offensive soldiers.
Defensive Score: Think of your defensive score as a buffer, as long as your defensive score is higher than an attacking players offensive score, your enemy cannot harm you through normal attacks. To increase your defensive score you can upgrade your base, purchase vehicles and vehicle operators, or purchase armor and defensive soldiers.
Mining Score: Your mining score directly affects your income every 10 minutes. The higher your mining score, the more money you will earn every 10 minutes.
Income: Your income is a direct result of your mining score. The higher your mining score, the more money you will earn every 10 minutes. To increase your mining score you need both tools and miners, each miner needs one tool and each miner can only use one tool at a time.
Defensive Soldiers: These units are the primary way to increase your defensive score, each defensive soldier needs to be equipped with a defensive item purchased through the armory to be useful. Each soldier can only carry one item. Without any items your defensive soldiers are useless.
Offensive Soldiers: Offensive Soldiers are the best way to increase your offensive score, each offensive soldier needs to be equipped with an offensive weapon purchased through the armory. Each soldier can only use one item. Without any weapons your offensive soldiers are useless.
Miners: Miners, when equipped with tools purchased through the armory page are used to increase your mining score. Without any tools your miners can't do any mining. Each miner can only use one tool at a time.
Vehicle Operators: Operators are used to operate vehicles. Vehicles are a great way to increase both your offensive and defensive score at the same time. Each vehicle requires one operator and each operator requires one vehicle. Without one, the other is useless.
Battlefield Troops: Battlefield troops are the best way to take advantage of the battlefield. They are only used while in the battlefield, they contribute nothing at all when attacking other players outside the battlefield and they do not require any items to be useful inside the battlefield.
The Armory
The armory is the place to go when you need to purchase weapons, armor, vehicles, and tools. In Xtratic War, each item purchased through the armory requires one soldier or unit to use it. Without soldiers the items are more or less useless.
Each weapon requires an offensive soldier, each piece of armor requires a defensive soldier, each vehicle requires a vehicle operator and each tool requires a miner.
Weapons, are used to increase your offense score, the higher your offense score is, the better your chances are at winning an attack against another player.
Armor increases your defensive score, the better your defensive score is, the more likely you are to defend your self when another player attacks you.
Tools are used in increase your mining score, the higher your mining score, the more income you receive every 10 minutes.
Vehicles are a combo item, they increase both your offense and defense score at the same time.
